Infrared mirror heating

An infrared mirror heater is - as the name suggests - a heater and a mirror in one. It is used wherever there is a need for (additional) heat as well as a mirror. Especially in the bathroom above the washbasin, a mirror heater cuts a fine figure. But it is also an excellent solution in the hallway, wardrobe, bedroom or dressing room.

How does an infrared heating mirror work?

Like all infrared heaters, an infrared mirror heater does not primarily heat the air in the room, but individual objects in the room. In addition to the furniture, these are the floor, the walls and the ceiling. You yourself also feel the pleasant infrared heat, which can be compared with the rays of the sun. A great advantage of infrared heaters is that they are at operating temperature within minutes. Long preheating is therefore no longer necessary. Since the heat is stored in the heated objects and objects, the room temperature remains constant for a long time without the infrared heater running continuously. This shortens heating times and saves valuable energy.

Can a mirror heater be retrofitted easily?

Unlike conventional oil or gas heaters, infrared heaters can be easily and conveniently retrofitted. Thus, the installation of an infrared mirror heater does not differ from that of a classic mirror. Just make sure that the selected location has a 230-volt power outlet nearby. Following the installation of your infrared mirror heating panel, you only place the plug in the nearest socket and your device is directly ready for use. The control is usually done with the help of a thermostat. This can be both a socket thermostat and a wireless thermostat.

How much does an infrared mirror heater cost and how many watts does it need?

The price of a mirror heater depends on various factors. First of all, it depends on the size and wattage of the model. Which wattage you need depends basically on the room. In your guest toilet, a small, compact infrared mirror with only 300 watts might be suitable. In a large hallway, on the other hand, a larger model with 600 or 1000 watts is the right one. If the mirror heater acts as the main radiator, you will need a unit with a higher wattage. If the wattage is too low for the room, it will take longer to reach the desired temperature. In this way, you will consume more electricity costs. Manufacturers' specifications will help you choose the right mirror heater for your space. If you have any further questions, we will be happy to help you as well.

Infrared mirror heating in bathroom

In no other room in the house is the need for heat greater than in the bathroom. As soon as we leave the warm shower or bathtub, the body begins to cool down. If you have already switched on your infrared mirror heater before, you will be directly enveloped by pleasant warmth. And your feet are also happy about the warmed floor - almost like underfloor heating. Since we visit the bathroom several times a day, but often only briefly, the short preheating time of the infrared mirror heater is more than convenient.

At the same time, an infrared mirror heater is a particularly space-saving heating device in the bathroom, as it replaces the classic mirror above the washbasin. Especially in smaller bathrooms, you thus do not need additional space for a radiator.

Mirror radiators, as a practical 2-in-1 solution, not only provide the desired temperature in the bathroom, but also offer you a clear view of your reflection. A fogged mirror surface after the shower or bath is thus a thing of the past. The smallest drops of water that form during bathing or showering evaporate on the heated surface without settling on it. A more than practical side effect that your mirror heater offers you in the bathroom.

The issue of moisture in the bathroom affects not only the mirror, but especially the walls and ceiling. If moisture settles here, there is a risk that it will penetrate into the masonry. The formation of mold is the result. An infrared mirror heater counteracts this by ensuring dry walls. In this way, no moisture gets into the masonry.

Buy infrared mirror heater in different sizes & designs

Whether round or rectangular, small or large: infrared mirror heaters are available in many different sizes and designs. For example, you can choose from simple, classic models without a frame, or you can really put your mirror heater in the spotlight with a chic wooden or metal frame. In addition, to have your reflection well in view, you can choose a mirror heater with lateral or circumferential LED lighting. This way, your mirror image is optimally illuminated and you will no longer miss any detail. This 3-in-1 solution is especially practical in the bathroom for your daily morning routine or even in the hallway for an outfit check before you leave the house. Whichever type of mirror heater you ultimately choose, you'll get a model that is primarily perceived not as a radiator, but as a stylish mirror.
