HANSA faucets: Water Smart Living
HANSA Armaturen Karl Göhring founded the company, then still as a pressing and stamping plant, in 1911. Two years later, it then moved into a new factory building in the Möhring district of Stuttgart, which still serves as the company's headquarters today. In 1921, the company was given the name that it still partially bears today. The company name HANSA Metallwerke AG together with the specialization in sanitary products became HANSA Armaturen GmbH. The aforementioned specialization took place in connection with the filing of the first patent. This was filed for the chrome hand shower with regulating and mixing valve and spout, which was unique on the market at that time. This milestone invention in the sanitary industry also gave rise to the inspiration for today's logo. Here, HANSA used the eye-catching crown handle of the two-handle mixer with shower as a model, which is reflected in the HANSA logo. The company's ability to innovate was also demonstrated in the following years with the development of many innovations, through which they constantly advanced the further development of bathroom products. For example, HANSA developed the first single-hole, single-lever basin mixers in Europe. This was not only a completely new operating concept with a push-button fitting, but also the first range of fittings in noise class 1/DIN 4109. But the heart of the HANSA company has been the touchless chrome fitting since 1976. At that time still via infrared, HANSA is one step ahead of many in terms of technology and development - and that until today.
