BetteAir: the ultra-flat shower tile made of glazed steel
With the BetteAir shower tile, Bette has more than succeeded in evolving from a shower tray to a shower floor. Designed by Tesseraux + Partner, the new shower surface is so flat that it becomes part of the bathroom floor. The edge height of the product body, for example, is only 10 mm, which is roughly equivalent to the material thickness of a large-surface tile. A shower surface can hardly be any flatter if the water is to drain away without any problems. To ensure that this is guaranteed with BetteAir, Bette has also adapted the drain to the extra-flat shower tile and enlarged it to 200 mm. This is not visible from the outside, however, but only a circular, 3 mm small gap through which the water can drain off perfectly. With a drainage capacity of 0.6 l per second, the BetteAir can even be combined with an opulent rain shower without flooding.
Thanks to the self-cleaning drain set, which is located under the lid, no hair can get caught in the drain or the pipe segment behind it, so there is no need to worry here either. If you do want to clean the drain of the BetteAir, the cover can be easily removed and then replaced. Since this drain cover also lies absolutely flat, it can neither be seen nor felt.
What material is the BetteAir made of?
BetteAir is the world's first shower tile made of titanium steel. The combination of steel enamel and the high-quality Bette glaze ensures a scratch-resistant, non-porous and UV-resistant surface that not only looks particularly beautiful, but is also exceptionally hard-wearing. The titanium steel surface is harder than marble, plastic or mineral casting, so you will enjoy your BetteAir shower tile for a long time.
How is the BetteAir installed?
The shower tile is delivered already largely pre-assembled and ready for installation. There are two installation methods to choose from. With the Plug and Play installation, the BetteAir can be glued directly onto the screed like a tile. Bette has further developed its proven combination solution of minimum support and installation box to suit this floor-level installation. If installing the BetteAir directly on the screed is not an option, a second, more flexible installation method is available with the help of the Universal installation system from Bette. This allows installation directly on the unfinished floor. Depending on the structural conditions, the shower tile can be installed flush with the floor or raised with a tile base.
In which dimensions is the BetteAir shower tile available?
Bette has not only considered different spatial conditions when installing the BetteAir, but also in the available dimensions. It is available in a total of 8 sizes – from 900 x 900 to 1,400 x 1,000 mm. This means that shower zones can be realised in the usual dimensions – for a relaxed showering experience alone or with a partner.
BetteAir surprises with a wide range of colours
BetteAir presents you with a choice: should the particularly flat shower tile blend seamlessly into its surroundings or stand out in stark contrast? Thanks to a choice of more than 30 colours, the decision is entirely yours. It is available in 8 popular sanitary colours, 22 exclusive matt colours and in the Satin Blue effect colour. To ensure that you enjoy your BetteAir for a particularly long time, we recommend that you have it finished with BetteGlaze. The shower tile is coated with a crystal-clear polymer film that has a water-repellent effect. This makes it even easier for water droplets to roll off the BetteAir, which results in fewer deposits and significantly less cleaning effort. All you need to care for your shower tile is a damp cloth. Sharp and environmentally harmful cleaners are a thing of the past.
What extras can the BetteAir shower tile be equipped with?
Already included in the scope of delivery of the ultra-flat BetteAir is a basic sound insulation that significantly reduces shower noise. In the following, these are comparable to the sound of a forest or whispering. This means that you can enjoy a shower late at night or in the evening without disturbing members of your household or the neighbours, even in flats or houses with a high level of soundproofing. To ensure that you can stand as safely as possible on the BetteAir, you can have it fitted with an anti-slip surface. You can choose between BetteAnti-Slip Pro and the new BetteAnti-Slip Sense surface, which was specially developed for glossy colours. With these special surfaces, nothing stands in the way of comfortable and safe showering pleasure.
