How high do I place the shower head?

In this case, the length is regulated with the help of a shower arm, both in the case of wall mounting and ceiling mounting. Therefore, the main feature that should be taken into account during installation is the distance between the shower head, from which the water comes out, and the head of the person taking a shower.
Distance between the shower head and the head
There is a standard value for the measurement of this distance. Manufacturers recommend maintaining a distance of 20 - 30 cm between the head and the shower head to allow the shower head to effectively act on itself. When permanently installed, overhead showers are no longer height-adjustable after they have been fitted once.
Mounting on the ceiling
The choice for mounting the overhead shower on the ceiling is particularly useful whenever there is no wall nearby for mounting. This may be the case, for example, when the shower area is very spacious, but the shower head should be located in the center of the shower area. When building a new bathroom, the customer has a free choice of how to mount the rain shower head. In addition to ceiling mounting, there is also the option for mounting on the wall or a shower bar.
Wall mounting
The decision for wall mounting always makes sense when it comes to a closed shower area. Here, the necessary distance to the wall can also be ideally maintained. With this type of installation, the shower head is brought to the desired distance with the help of a shower arm.

In a very straight-lined bathroom, an angular overhead shower looks better. In bathrooms where the emphasis is on soft contours, round ones usually make more sense.

Different jet types for maximum showering comfort
In addition to the shape and design, the customer can also choose between different jet types. For example, there are overhead showers with only one jet, while others offer up to four variants. The decision for or against several jet variants is in turn based on the customer's own showering behavior. If showers are enjoyed for relaxation, other types such as the massage jet, the rain shower or PowderRain make sense. If showering is only used for daily cleaning, one type of spray is sufficient.
Dripping of the shower
The dripping is not a malfunction, but quite normal after showering. The reason for this is the negative pressure that develops between the shower hose or the shower rod and the shower head itself. Since the overhead and rain shower are usually lower than the water remains in the water supply line, the water wants to escape from it. Initially, this does not flow out, but after some time air enters the shower head through the shower glands. The resulting pressure equalization between the shower and the environment causes water to drip out of the shower head drop by drop.

Not always the overhead shower is mounted directly to the surrounding walls or ceilings. It is also possible to mount it over a shower bar. This variant is particularly suitable for those who subsequently decide to buy such a shower model and do not want to attach it separately.
