Hansgrohe EcoSmart saves water and money
Hansgrohe showers and mixers equipped with EcoSmart technology use up to 60% less water than conventional products. In addition, the lower hot water consumption leads to decreasing energy requirements. All in all, this means lower CO2 emissions and lower costs. So EcoSmart is good for the environment and your wallet. Here's how you benefit from EcoSmart technology:
- Reduced water consumption to up to 8l/min for overhead and hand showers (Green products at hansgrohe showers even use only 6l/min).
- Hansgrohe faucets at the washbasin and bathtub even require only 5 liters of water per minute as standard (EcoSmart+ products even consume 4l/min at 3 bar)
- Decreasing hot water consumption, correspondingly reduced energy consumption and costs
- Lower CO2 emissions due to reduced energy consumption
- Constant flow, even when water pressure fluctuates or is low.
hansgrohe CoolStart reduces daily hot water costs
Very often, cold water is enough for drinking water, washing hands, watering flowers or cleaning. And that's exactly the highlight of this technology:
With CoolStart faucets, only cold water flows when the handle is in the middle position - in contrast to a free-standing faucet, where hot water water flows in the middle position, consuming energy immediately.
Warm or hot water only flows when you really need it. The necessary energy is only called up when the mixer lever is actively moved to the left.
With this technology the piping system is thus not unnecessarily filled with hot water.

The recent win of the German Sustainable Award 2024 confirms the activities and progress of an innovation leader.
